Our Mission

Bridging the gap between modern technology and its usage by senior citizens.

GenTech is a nonprofit organization that serves communities across the DMV Area. Our primary mission is to bridge the gap between modern technology and its usage by senior citizens.

At GenTech, we believe that teaching the ability to use technology to senior citizens will help them further connect with family and friends, continue lifelong learning, maintain greater independence in their daily lives, improve quality of life, and accomplish more than what they thought would be possible.

How it works

Simple for senior communities to host.

Schedule a session

A senior residence, community center, or family member contacts GenTech to coordinate a visit.

Choose focus areas

We identify common questions: phones, video calls, photos, online safety, apps, or everyday digital tools.

Learn by doing

Seniors practice directly on their own devices with friendly, individualized support from GenTech volunteers.

Technology should make life easier, not more frustrating. GenTech exists to give seniors the confidence to use the digital tools that help them connect, learn, and live more independently.
